It’s January! Get free files from the Envato Marketplace

Envato is an Australian-based company that was started in 2006. Since that time, they’ve grown into a huge network of sites known as their Marketplace.

In the Marketplace, over 500,000 (and counting) sellers and buyers are treated to some fantastic goodies.

If you’re a creator, you can sell your eWares on one or all of the nine Envato sites:

  • 3DOcean - royalty-free 3D models, textures, concepts, and materials and shaders
  • ActiveDen - royalty-free Adobe Flash and Flex files
  • AudioJungle - royalty-free music and sound effects that are completely Podsafe
  • CodeCanyon - scripts and components for a variety of languages and frameworks, currently including JavaScript, PHP, ASP.NET, and Java
  • GraphicRiver - royalty-free, layered Photoshop files, vectors, icon packs, Adobe add-ons and design templates
  • PhotoDune – royalty-free stock photography provided by photographers all over the world
  • ThemeForest - HTML templates as well as themes for popular CMS products like WordPress, Joomla and Drupal
  • Tutorials -  tutorials and eBooks on topics like Design, Web Development and Computer Graphics
  • VideoHive - royalty-free footage and motion graphics as well as After Effects Project files

Envato gives away a free file each month in each one of its nine Marketplaces. Although many of the items are definitely worth buying, getting a little something free each month does sweeten the pot and make you keep coming back for more.

TutorialsBuild your Own JavaScript Library by NetPremium

Description: “Over the course of the past few years, the JavaScript community has exploded exponentially. While technologies like Ajax certainly had something to do with the popularity of JavaScript, it it’s safe to say that libraries are the primary reason we’ve seen such astonishing growth in the community. No longer is the browser the playground of those who venture into JavaScript development and brave the disparate APIs supported by multiple browsers. Thanks to libraries, the differences between the popular browsers are minimized, making cross-browser development much easier than it used to be.

Both the tutorials and screencasts in this series were created by highly respected JavaScript developer and published author, Jeremy McPeak.”

VideoHiveCubes Logo Reveal by bboykoma
